Biography
I'm Sofie C Guerrero— an astrologer based in London, with over 30 years working with the birth chart as a tool for self-understanding, and the founder of RHEA Coaching. I work within Western, tropical astrology: a language of symbols and archetypes that reads the sky, geocentrically, along the sun's path across the celestial sphere. Astrology, as Dane Rudhyar put it, is a language — "if you understand this language, the sky speaks to you." I draw particularly on humanist and archetypal astrology, where the planets carry the same archetypal weight Jung gave them in his own psychology: patterns of emotional and mental behaviour, and the urges that drive them. Alongside the chart, I bring depth psychology, somatic practice, and sixteen years developing a coaching approach built around power dynamics, consent, and ritual as container. Certificate in Astrology, Faculty of Astrological Studies, London (qualified at intermediate level, 1996; practising continuously since). Diploma in Transformational Coaching, Animas Centre for Coaching (ICF- and Association for Coaching–accredited). Associate-level accreditation, European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).
About the astrologer
Astrology as a map for the parts of yourself you're ready to claim — power, desire, intimacy, and the self beneath them. Archetypes, the power of the unconscious, astrology, an artistic path and coaching. My experience of Jungian psychoanalysis, as part of a group and as an individual analysand, was life changing. It was during this 7 years long therapy that I discovered the rich world of archetypes made flesh and the fundamental and life-saving lesson of “learning from my failures”. I was able to embark on formal studies of astrology at the Faculty of Astrological studies in London and decided to commit myself again to an artistic path, the one which I had abandoned when I was very young in a singular act of self sabotage. Later on, and after more successes and more failures, I began in 2019 to train with Animas as a Transformational Life Coach. My objective became to learn more about how we can impact our lives consciously and positively and about how we may support others.
Approach to readings
One-to-one chart readings and coaching partnerships (individuals and couples); archetypal astrology workshops exploring desire, power, and relational archetypes, run privately or in small groups over three or four consecutive sessions, in person or via Zoom. I think of our work together as a journey in which you are the explorer and I am your cartographer and navigator. I'll prepare your chart in advance and bring it to our first session as a map: a circle of the Zodiac showing the planets and celestial objects positioned at the time and place of your birth. We "discover" it together — I highlight the strengths and challenges it suggests, and we talk through how you currently relate to them, or don't. From there, you decide which territory to explore further. Many of the people I work with are drawn to questions of power, control, and the more intense or transgressive corners of desire — in confidence, in relationships, in the roles they play with others and the ones they've outgrown. For them, the chart offers a map before the territory is even entered. Others come for more familiar reasons: self-esteem, direction, feeling stuck, wanting to reclaim a sense of agency most of us were never taught to trust. Your chart doesn't predict what you'll find. It shows you where to look. Issues and questions clients bring: Anxiety, self-esteem, intimacy, lack of agency, career change, powerlessness, trust, boundaries, consent, gender, body image, belonging, and power or control dynamics within relationships.
